É só a minha música favorita dos U2. Adam foi o padrinho do casamento do Bono e este retribuíu-lhe o facto oferecendo-lhe esta canção. War foi gravado durante a lua de mel de Bono e após October, um album em que Adam se pôs aparte, e Bono quis se reconciliar assim de certa forma com ele. Mas há aí algo mais, quando ele escreve "Take my hand...this storm will pass..." refere-se ao problema de alccolismo e de droga que na altura Adam passava.
